MIKIMOTO BOUTIQUE REOPENING

RISE & SET was approached by Mikimoto, the luxury cultured pearl company, to execute the reopening of the company’s boutique on Fifth Avenue in New York City. As part of the event, Dayle Haddon, founder of the WomenOne charity for girls’ education and featured in Mikimoto’s new collaboration with Assouline Publishing: The Pearl Necklace, was on hand for a special book signing. Guests were treated to sights, sounds and tastes reflective of the brand history and its heritage. Upon arrival, Japanese Taiko drummers welcomed guests as they walked the step and repeat outside the store and into the boutique where they were greeted with extravagant floral design, champagne and Japanese-inspired passed food. On the top floor a jazz duo entertained guests with soft sounds fitting the space and the evening. The night culminated with a heartfelt champagne toast given by the President of Mikimoto Americas to all guests, thanking them for their support of the brand and participation in the reopening.
